A key element in CKF’s most recent BIFA industry award for Specialist Services was the unique nature of the company’s new state-of-the-art facility at Alpha Park in Southampton. Hot on the heels of last month’s prestigious award from the UK’s trade body came the sites official opening on February 6th 2019 by Group Chairman Mark Kendall. This unique site reflects the broad scope of the supply chain management services offered by the Charles Kendall Group at the site and throughout its global network – notably in Dubai. For example through the aptly named Product Logistics service, the Alpha Park site provides state-of-the-art relabeling and re-packaging services for food and drink manufacturers as well as other FMCG product categories. The product reworking solutions provided through Alpha Park and its sister facility in Dubai, were central to CKF’s recent industry award. The site also boasts of a packing and case making facility that supplements Charles Kendall Packing’s existing facilities at Heathrow and in Manchester. The site additionally has a specialist warehousing section devoted to CKF’s niche Amazon FBA business which has been custom designed to deliver an end-to-end solution for CKF’s fast growing Amazon FBA customer base. CKF’s Managing Director Peter Sunderland commented, “we are very proud of our new Southampton facility which not only provides diverse supply chain management solutions in a number of key areas but critically does so conveniently close to the Port of Southampton. The site reflects the company’s continued growth and commitment to delivering key value added solutions not found elsewhere in the market”.
