Capacity
building is the process of ensuring areas of weakness in procedures
are strengthened by a series of measures designed to result
in those procedures being reliably and well carried out in
line with national laws and / or donor rules in order to ensure
sustainability.
CKP provides experienced procurement experts to work with beneficiaries
within their own organisations for short, medium or long term
assignments. Our experts can assist beneficiary organisations
to perform the procurement process in full accordance with donor
or national system procedures and specifications (including tendering
procedures). Concurrently CKP can provide training and
mentoring initiatives. CKP also works with donor agencies to
advise beneficiary governments on how to ensure that national
procedures actually meet the requirements of the donor funding
agencies. CKP also ensures that those procedures are consistently
applied in the operational procurement environment.
